Wow.. Wind and Waves!!!
No... it's
true! ...we have wind and waves for the first time in a while!!
Maybe
this is the start of Cape town getting back to it's normal pattern... well, we
can live in hope!!
To be fair we actually have been sailing and surfing
quite a bit... it just hasn't been classic... but yesterday we got a taste of
what it should be like!!
We had a sneaky surf in the morning at big bay
which turned out to be pretty nice... I actually managed to kick up a little
bit of spray... although it could have been my leash dragging in the water!!
haha... we followed that with shore break session at Collito... ooooopps i
mean Sunset!!!
Sunset has been
terrible this year... especially at car park 2... the wave just doesn't form
properly and only really breaks properly when it hits the beach... it's pretty
horrendous... but yesterday was sort of fun as it was bigger.. well sort of!!
Next, back home
for a bite to eat... then a big bay jump session... well that was the plan but
the wind was a little off shore and the tide was high!!
So we had a 'little'
jump session but ended up mostly riding.... still it was pretty good and it was
empty for some reason!!
I just heard Melkbos was 'all time '
yesterday.... gutted... got to be honest i didn't think there would be enough
wind... bugger... well my ankle pretty sore so probably would have ended up
twating it up big time at Melkbos!!
Move of the day:
Will's new
move... 'Air Chachoo ' he got a real peachy one straight off the beach at
Sunset... not bad son!!! haha
Forecast is
looking pretty solid for waves... so let just hope the wind keeps
coming!!
